Spring 2020 Eggs

This is a one of a kind, hand decorated Ukranian Easter Egg. The egg is decorated in the Ukranian "Pysanka" style. It uses a method of wax resistance similar to the fabric dying process used for batik. It is done on an egg instead of fabric.

Jeanne Ross's original designs have evolved over her years of egg decoration. Jeanne first encountered Luba Perchyshyn of the Ukrainian Gift Shop, some 50 years ago. Luba was demonstrating her craft, and selling her egg kits at a local grocery store in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
