Lafayette Bridge from Dayton's Bluff in Saint Paul
Original painting by Jeanne Ross
This is a nocturne painting of the St. Paul, Minnesota skyline from Indian Mounds Park. This has been one of my favorite views for a long time, and apparently I am not alone. When I was out painting a passerby told me it is the most photographed place in St. Paul.
For me it goes back to the '70s when my dad took pictures at a City of Saint Paul event called The Spectacle of Lights. All of the businesses in downtown would turn on their lights and photographers would take pictures.
